Thomas Becket was a 12th century saint and archbishop of Canterbury. He angered English King Henry II into proclaiming, "Who will rid me of this troublesome priest?" Subsequently, four knights killed Thomas Becket in Canterbury Cathedral, which later became a beloved pilgrimage site.
