ORIGIN AND HISTORY
Octavio is of Latin origin, and it means "eighth." The original form of the name is Octavius.[1] It comes from the Greek root ὀκτά-, which gives us other words such as "octagon," "octave" and "octane."[1]
In large families, especially during the Victorian era, Octavio, or its variant forms, was often given to the eighth child born to the family.[1]
