  • Greta Garbo was born Greta Louis Gustafsson in Sweden. She grew up in on of Stockholm's poorest districts. Greta worked as a salesgirl for a department store that used her in a publicity film. That led to another short film roll in "Peter the Tramp." In 1923, Mauritz Stiller cast her in "The Atonment of Gosta Berling" which made her a minor star. Stiller became her mentor and lover. They went to Hollywood in 1924. Stiller returned to Sweden while Greta stayed on to become a superstar.[1]
  • Greta Van Susteren is a lawyer and host of Fox News Channel's "On the Record." With the funds from her contract with Fox, Greta got a face lift and blepharoplasty. Few people know that Greta is a practicing Scientologist.[1]
  • Greta Granstedt (actress) was roommate to the explorer Bessie Hyde. Bessie Hyde and her husband mysteriously vanished while on a trip in the Grand Canyon. [1]
